2006.11.29 : ZSHOT.com Confirms PTW Magazine Issue |
|
|
In
our continued pursuit for perfection, SYSTEMA is constantly
improving our products through in-house research as well as
listening to our users. We are glad that many of our users
are supporting us and speaking to us. As a result, we have
discovered and confirmed a minor design defect in one of the new
components used for the PTW magazines. The issue is related
to the new roll-pins failing to secure the internals of the
magazine. Under certain conditions, if a PTW magazine is
dropped on solid surface (such as concrete floor) from more then a
few feet (1+ meter) high, the rounded heads of the roll pin will
expand the magazine side-wall while pushing itself towards the
center of the magazine. As a result, the internal components
of the magazine will be dislodged from its original position, and
the roll-pin will also wedge itself against the magazine
side-wall. Once the components are misaligned, the magazine
will fail to feed bullets properly into the chamber.
SYSTEMA and ZSHOT.com are currently working together to arrive at
a permanent solution. All U.S. dealers will be eligible to
request retrofit components to address this issue (once the
solution is finalized) free of charge. On the mean time,
users are encouraged to perform this modification which will also permanently
address the issue without the need to wait for the retrofit
kits. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused our users, and we appreciate your support while we
continue to bring you better products.

2006.10.12 : NEW RELEASE! SYSTEMA Complete Mecha Box and Motor Set |
|
|
Due
to overwhelming support and user requests, and in conjunction with our
new and exciting motors, SYSTEMA
is pleased to announce the expansion of the Complete Mecha Box series
with two new classes. These new Mecha Boxes pack more punch, more speed,
and more performance then you can imagine! They even come complete with matching motors so that
their true potential can be realized right out of the box.
The first addition of the Complete Mecha Box Series consists of the High
Power models, packed with M170 springs, bore up cylinder kits, and
matching gear sets providing you with over 550 FPS of pure
power. All High Power Complete Mecha Box comes with our new Magnum
Motor included in the box, giving you realistic rate of fire that was
previously impossible in such a high velocity setup. Say goodbye
to trigger lags in electric sniper rifles!
The second addition consists of the High Speed models with individually
tuned components all designed for the ultimate high rate of fire.
This setup is capable of achieving consistent and reliable 30 rounds
per second high-speed firing*! To put things into perspective,
30 rounds per second equals 1,800 rounds per minute, or roughly TWICE as
fast as a typical stock AEG! This is only possible thanks to our
new Turbo motor as well as carefully selected internal components for
ultra smooth operation. Never miss your target again because of
that big gap in between BBs!!

2005.07.07 : SYSTEMA PTWS Upgrade Cylinder Units |
|
|
SYSTEMA
is proud to introduce our full-line of drop-in cylinder units for the Professional Training Weapon
System!
After extended testing and selected user-group evaluations, SYSTEMA is
now releasing three different drop-in cylinder units for our PTWS product
line. They includes the M90 cylinder unit ("stock" cylinder
shipped with your PTWS), M110 cylinder unit (moderate upgrade for all-around performance), and M130
cylinder unit (high velocity upgrade when maximum engagement range is
needed). These cylinder units were developed closely and in
conjunction with our Generation-3 PTWS, ensuring direct, drop-in
replacement where no other internal modification is required.
Note: Please be aware that while the M90 and M110 units are compatible across all
generation PTWS, SYSTEMA only recommend the use of M130 cylinder units
in Gen-3 PTWS. Several area of the Gen-3's gearbox and circuitry
were specifically tuned to handle the extended power of M130 (or higher)
cylinder units, and the use of M130 units in older PTWS may cause
pre-matured failure. Nonetheless, for older generation training weapon users:
rest assure
that SYSTEMA did not forget about you! We will shortly be
releasing a dealer-installable "Version-Up Kit" so that you
can bring your training weapons up to Generation-3 specification.
If you are not sure which version PTWS you have, here are a few tips:
| 1. |
All Gen-3 PTWS have
steel barrels installed. If your barrel has slightly lighter
color then the receiver (similar finish to the magazine), it is a steel barrel and it is
Gen-3. Gen-1 and Gen-2 PTWS have aluminum barrel with a hard-anodized
finish, which is darker and closer to the
receiver's finish. |
| 2. |
There is no Gen-1
M4A1. If your M4 has a steel barrel, its Gen-3. If it
has a aluminum barrel, its Gen-2. |
| 3. |
If you have an M16
(A2 or A3) but it does not have a steel barrel, look inside your
butt stock (the battery compartment). Pull the battery
connector out and you should find a small power control
circuit (where the fuse plugs into). If the circuit is
encased in a black, hard-plastic tube, its Gen-1. If its
surrounded by a clear shrink-wrap, its a Gen-2. |

break" feature in the 2nd generation training weapons, we have now
completely re-engineered the electronic circuit, resulting in
dramatically improved stand-by battery performance.

the hop-up unit where it provides even better and more consistent
grouping.
